As timber framers, Momentum Builders provides our clients a unique blend of old world craftsmanship with leading edge building technologies to create beautiful, efficient structures.
Timber framing is a building method, requiring a high degree of expertise and precision, of joining wood together using pegged mortise and tenon joints.
Fine wooden structures seem to speak with the heart of the master carpenters who constructed them with obvious respect for the soul of the timber.

We share our passion for this age-old craft by bringing a high level of expertise and creativity into every framing project, incorporating aspects of timber framing whenever possible because this method provides unique options and benefits:
§ Use local timber; locally harvested and milled
§ Integration structure and beauty
§ Varying levels of detail/ornamentation
§ "Live-edge" applications= leaving one or more edge(s) of a timber in their natural "log-like" state
§ Interface between age old tradition and new age building techniques
§ Blend with the natural environment
We incorporate timber-framed construction into any number of building applications:
§ Full house/frame construction
§ Hybrid construction- timber frame and stick built configuration
§ Accent beams/timbers
§ Timbered floor systems
§ Timber frame roof trusses
§ Timber framed entries or porches
§ Workshops, barns, out-buildings
§ Pergolas, trellises, gazebos
§ Outdoor living spaces
I am convinced that working wood is only partially the mastery of the techniques of cutting, shaping, and mortising-the removal of wood. The tools for the task also include those stored on the inside: feelings and emotions and values. If they are not also maintained with a sharp edge, the result can be a hacking of the timber and boredom of the individual.
